The sooner the better! Early fall is a busy time in Carmel/Big Sur and accommodations do book up!
We’d recommend staying in either Carmel, Monterey, or Big Sur, with Carmel likely being the easiest option.
Yes, we'll be providing shuttle services to/from both Carmel and Big Sur town to Wind & Sea Estate. Due to parking limitations, we kindly ask that all guests utilize the provided shuttle. For those local to the Monterey Bay area, there will be parking available at the Carmel shuttle stop.
We're expecting the Carmel stop to be close to the Crossroads Shopping Center and the Big Sur town stop near Big Sur River Inn. Final details will be confirmed as we gather information on guests' accommodations.
Due to limited parking, guests won't be able to drive to the venue and will need to use the provided shuttle. We hope this will allow guests to fully enjoy the day stress free!
Carmel is about 1 hour and Big Sur town is about 20 minutes from Wind & Sea Estate. The views will be worth the trek!
The venue has little to no cell reception. Hopefully that’ll allow us all to unplug and enjoy the day and scenery without distractions! That being said, if something comes up or you need to stay connected let us know and we can get you on the venue wifi.
Our welcome event will be casual, wear whatever you’re comfortable in! The beach can get chilly so bring a jacket!
The wedding will be cocktail attire – dresses, suits and jackets (tie optional), fancy jumpsuits. If you want to embrace the natural colors of Big Sur and the coastal vibes go for it, but most importantly we want you to be comfortable. The venue has a lot of stairs/slopes and is grassy so please wear wedges, block heels, or flats.
All events will be outside and while September is usually beautiful in Big Sur, coastal weather can be unpredictable so please plan accordingly with sunscreen, sunglasses, and a jacket.
For our beach welcome event, we're keeping things casual with either tacos or pizzas (we're still deciding!).
At the wedding reception, expect an assortment of canapés during cocktail hour, followed by a family-style dinner featuring fish, beef, and vegetarian mains.
When you RSVP, please mention any dietary restrictions or allergies so we can accommodate you comfortably.
Yes! Check out the Explore section below and linked map for some of our favorite spots.
We kindly request no gifts. While we appreciate your generosity, your presence is more than enough. We look forward to celebrating together!
